Who runs this website

Karol Brodowski operates the MAHTEN website as a private individual in Norway and is the controller for personal data handled for the website and band enquiries. Contact: mahten.band@gmail.com.

Visiting the website

The website’s own code does not use analytics or advertising cookies, tracking pixels, embedded players, social feeds or external fonts. Images are served with the website. There is no visitor account, upload form or payment form in the website itself.

Hosting is provided through OpenAI’s ChatGPT Sites and its hosting infrastructure. Delivering and protecting the site involves technical information such as IP addresses, request logs and device information. This supports our legitimate interest in providing a working, secure website. While access is restricted, the hosting platform also handles authentication.

Hosting data is processed under the ChatGPT Sites Data Processing Addendum. Provider-controlled security and service records follow the applicable provider retention arrangements; this website does not configure a separate visitor analytics database. Processing may take place outside the EEA, subject to the safeguards described in those terms, including adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. OpenAI’s own service and account processing is described in its Privacy Policy.

Contact by email

If you email MAHTEN, your email address, message and any information you choose to include are handled through Gmail to respond to your enquiry. Please provide only information relevant to your message. We use this information for our legitimate interest in handling band enquiries, or to take steps towards a booking or other agreement at your request. Correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any related agreement or legal obligations. You can contact us to ask about deletion.

Mailing list

The newsletter link opens a separate MailerLite page. The website itself does not receive or store your subscription form submission. If you choose to subscribe, your email address and subscription information are handled through MailerLite to send MAHTEN music updates with your consent. Signing up is optional.

You can withdraw consent through the unsubscribe link in a newsletter or by emailing mahten.band@gmail.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. Subscription details are used while your subscription remains active; limited records may be retained where needed to record your preferences or honour an unsubscribe request. You can also request erasure. MailerLite explains its processing and retention in its Privacy Policy.

Music, social links and merchandise

Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, social media and the Shopify shop open as external websites. Their own privacy notices apply when you visit them. Music playback, purchases and payment information are handled on those services rather than in this website.

Your rights

Where applicable, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or withdraw consent. To make a request, email mahten.band@gmail.com. You can also complain to Norway’s data protection authority, Datatilsynet. MAHTEN does not use your data for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
