Karol and Inge Andreas met in Norway in 2022 while playing together in a cover band. In 2025, they formed MAHTEN as a shared project to write and perform original music.

Their debut single, Off You Go, was released in September 2025.

Karol writes the songs, sings, plays guitar and shapes the artistic direction of the band. His songwriting is deeply influenced by the alternative rock of the 1990s, balancing introspective melodies with powerful, guitar-driven arrangements.

Inge Andreas brings his own musical perspective to the drums, creating distinctive rhythmic parts that give the songs their movement and character.

Their different influences come together through a natural musical chemistry — something developed through playing together rather than following a particular formula.

MAHTEN is built around that connection. Music written and performed by people, without AI-generated compositions or performances.
